Meet Sunroom
Sunroom is a Chicago-based vocal trio singing both original music and self-arranged covers rooted in folk and soul harmony singing. Members Adina, Kasia, and Katie met over a decade ago singing in Uniting Voices Chicago and recently reconnected over a shared love of music as a vehicle for connection, healing, and joy. Motivated by a desire to expand the range of music heard in mainstream venues, Sunroom’s repertoire features tonal traditions and languages from around the world. Singing mostly a cappella, Sunroom centers voice as instrument, inviting audiences into their intimate exploration of group music making.
Adina
Some say time with Adina (she/they/he) is like being near a babbling brook. She recently got her LCSW and is a proud community mental health worker. An avid reader and writer, Adina especially enjoys stringing together words and notes for Sunroom to sing. They take great joy in chance encounters and celebrating the cycles of the moon.
Kasia
Kasia (she/her) is a sentimental girl with the soul of a Slavic grandfather. She is a Masters of Urban Planning and Policy student, dedicated to community wealth building and hyper-local politics. Kasia cherishes late night chats, winter pomegranates, and summer afternoons in her sunroom.
Katie
Katie (she/her) is silly, a good friend, and has a loud laugh. She works as a Case Manager, connecting families on Chicago's West Side with resources & housing. Katie loves dark chocolate, singing really loud in the car, being on the lake, & spending time with her loved ones.
